3. Content (a) Title page. The title page must state the names of all authors. A short title of not more than 45 letters and spaces must be provided for page headings. (b) Abstract. Authors are requested to ensure that abstracts for all contributions give concise factual information about the objectives of the work, the methods used, the results obtained and the conclusions reached. The abstract should be no more than 500 words. (c) Key words. Authors must list immediately below the abstract up to 6 key words that identify the main points of their paper. (d) Abbreviations and Notations. Acronyms and abbreviations should be spelled out in full at their first occurrence in the text. (e) Conclusions. Papers must end with a summary of major conclusions or recommendations preferably in a list form. (f) References. References to published literature must be cited in accordance with the Harvard Referencing System e.g. Eckenfelder, W. (1994) Alternative strategies for meeting stringent effluent guidelines. Water Science and Technology Journal, Vol. 29, No.8, pp.1-7. (g) Illustrations and Tables. Originals of illustrations and tables must be provided with an original of the paper. Photographs, graphs and line drawings must be clear and of good quality to allow clear reproduction. Tables and their headings must be clear and even. Particular care must be taken with nomenclature and sub- and superscripts to ensure correct alignment. (h) Electronic Submission. Authors of accepted papers must provide one clear hard original copy and one electronic copy by e-mail, preferably in Microsoft Word format.
